Smartphone Free Childhood is a parent-led movement launched in 2024 to delay smartphones and social media for children. The movement since has mobilised hundreds of thousands of parents, influenced schools and public debate, and changed how people think about childhood and technology.

Challenging illegal use of NDAs

Zelda Perkins’ Can’t Buy My Silence campaign has helped push through several legal reforms from education to employment rights which will together make NDAs used to silence victims or witnesses of harassment, discrimination, or crime void. A significant step forward for human rights and transparency.

Arts for change

Jacob Dunne and the Common Ground Justice Project launched the Right to Be Heard campaign to widen access to Restorative Justice for all victims of crime.

The campaign leveraged Punch, a play by James Graham adapted from Jacob’s book Right From Wrong, to reach new audiences and bring public attention to the role Restorative Justice can play in supporting victims and improving the effectiveness of the justice system. The campaign received widespread coverage on national media, was cited in parliament and led to a new government commitment to widen access to Restorative Justice.

Investigations that save lives

Tower Hamlets Slice investigated Nitazenes, exposing gaps in drug death data and the unpredictability of street drugs. Their reporting, working with communities and families, raised awareness, increased access to naloxone, and helped prevent avoidable deaths.

Scaling up innovative ideas

Choose Play introduced the Loose Parts Play model (Loop!) into schools and play settings across East Lothian, supporting children’s wellbeing and access to creative, open-ended play. This work allowed them to refine the approach, build local engagement and design an inclusive and innovative resource for children.
