Holding corporates to account - grants to partners seeking to hold corporates to account including ShareAction, Action on Smoking and Health (ASH), Action on Gambling, and Everyday Plastics.
Preventing avoidable deaths - core funder of The Preventable Deaths Tracker and campaign to learn lessons and save lives.
Addressing online harms - funding has support Everyone’s Invited, 5Rights, Tactical Tech.
Supporting high impact campaigns including:
Foodrise - addressing food industry harms and the sugar lobby.
Just Treatment - creating a fairer health system - putting patients before profits.
Smartphone Free Childhood - first and ongoing funder of this successful movement against online harms.
Supporting research and creative campaigning - various grants to campaign groups using innovative tactics, and research grants for Social Change Lab.
Law
Public interest litigation - co-founded Law for Change, helping enable more than 100 legal cases in the public interest. Notable successes include:
Support for Foxglove Legal to stop the government forcing through destructive data centres.
Support for Sarah Finch representing Weald Action Group in the landmark Supreme Court case R (Finch) v Surrey County Council.
Legal reform and access to justice - funding has supported Open Justice for All, Environmental Law Foundation, The Campaign for Freedom in Everyday Life.
Evidence gathering for legal action - funding has supported groups to demonstrate health harms including Corby Childhood Cancer, Bentham residents affected by forever chemical contamination, and other environmental campaigners conducting air and soil testing.
Journalism
Annual award for journalists - our programme Tenacious Journalists Awards supports journalists to produce new and important investigative reporting.
Funding independent journalism- support to Bylines Network, Public Interest News Foundation (PINF), Liberty Investigates, and Democracy for Sale.
Preventing misinformation - core grant to Full Fact.
Arts for Change
Sit-Up Awards - post show audience engagement at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The Royal Scottish Academy- annual open exhibition prize for social change.
Punch and Common Ground Justice Project- Olivier Award winning play advocating for restorative justice.

Inspiring Scotland (IS) - incubating and scaling of new ideas in Scotland, coordinating action on online harms, and backing innovative campaign initiatives like Ideas for Change. Select partners funded through our partnership with IS:
